For what concerns publications
Some of you indicated that they fear that having a paper presented at the conference and included in the proceedings with a DOI will prevent them from submitting the paper to a Peer Reviewed Journal. This is clearly wrong: there is a clear distinction between a “Proceeding” and a “Publication” where you have to go through a tough Peer Reviewing process, anonymous, with reasonable chances to be rejected. Such Journals ask for “original” material never published before, and precisely a Proceeding is not a Publication, so there is no problem.
For your information, this is the standard process with any large congress: for instance, Acta Astronautica publishes every year hundreds of papers coming from the proceedings of the International Astronautical Congress IAC; same with the JSSE publications coming from IAASS congress, the two CEAS Journals with papers presented at the AEC conference, or of course the AIAA peer reviewed publications.
