Some news concerning the upcoming EUCSS-3AF Conference.
We gathered more than 400 abstracts from 34 countries, covering all the topics identified in the Call for Papers. Such a “score” is impressive given the current sanitary circumstances, but it is clearly half of what we usually have for EUCASS.
We did try to keep open the possibility of holding the Congress in roughly 100 days, but we realize that the situation, and the lack of short-term foreseeable improvements, appear too critical to reasonably hope to gather as planned.
Considering this situation, and as we had to decide now, prior to abstracts selection and participants registrations, we met at Bureau level last Monday and decided to postpone the congress to 2022, keeping exactly the same organization, venue and managing team as indicated in the website.
The next EUCASS-3AF will be held in Lille, at the Lille-Grand-Palais Congress Center, July 3 to 8, 2022.
There will be a new Call for Papers, but those of you who already submitted one for 2021 and wish to keep it as is, are welcome to do so. They also have full freedom to update it by the next deadline later this year.
Sorry for that; we were all looking forward to this event with great pleasure and very high hopes, but we are sure you understand the situation and share our decision.
